We're back from Virelai's Irish tour, and Edie's first ever concert tour. It was great fun, with a lot of musically satisfying experiences (including improving and fine-tuning our performance of the Sad Steps programme, but also including lots of chances to hear Irish trad music in pubs after our concerts), socially satisfying ones (hanging out with Catherine and Bill, and with our friend Jo, who helped to look after Edie), and aesthetically satisfying ones (see pictures). I wish I had time to go into detail about the concerts and some of the interesting experiences (in Bray, Dublin, Navan, Monaghan, Drogheda, Belmullet and Castlebar), but I don't.
